Empowering Special Needs Children Through Connection
Rise Foundation, in collaboration with Saavi, is dedicated to supporting special needs children by fostering meaningful connections with high school volunteers. Our initiative creates a nurturing environment where children can participate in engaging activities that help them transition smoothly into their new high school setting.
Through mentorship and friendship, our volunteers not only provide companionship but also encourage the development of communication and social skills. These interactions help make the school experience more enjoyable, welcoming, and inclusive for every child.
Together, we are building a supportive community where every child feels valued, confident, and empowered to form lasting friendships.

RISE Collaborates with MICS for the Unity Convention
The RISE team collaborated with Michigan Indian Community Services (MICS) to help orchestrate their first-ever Unity Convention. This initiative was designed to bring the Indian American community together and create a strong foundation for collaboration and collective growth.
The Unity Convention focuses on promoting a unified approach that amplifies the community’s voice while providing access to important resources, relief efforts, and social support. The event also highlights the needs of both native seniors and immigrant families, encouraging meaningful engagement and dialogue.
Through this collaboration, RISE and MICS aim to strengthen community connections, support the development of recreational and community spaces, and address the challenges faced by immigrants—helping build a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.
